Demeter Almond Season Index Update - Week 44

Demeter Research Team
Jul 20, 2026

The DASI as of Week 44 stands at 121.4, a change of -0.6% from the last publication.

Demeter's estimate for the statewide almond crop from the present season now stands at 2.71bn lbs. This forecast is derived from a range of Demeter's indicators, including the DASI, and will be available once per month. Discussion of our estimate's methodology and accuracy is available in our research note.

The DASI eased modestly in the past fortnight, with the All-California index slipping from 122.1 to 121.4.

Declines were broad-based across counties, with the all-county median edging down from 117.7 to 116.8; no county with meaningful acreage saw a rise in the DASI over the past two weeks.
