Jul 20, 2026

Demeter's forecast of the California statewide almond crop is recalculated continuously over the course of the season as new information becomes available. The chart above shows monthly forecasts from the development of the 2026/27 crop.

As of today, Demeter forecasts a crop of 2.71bn lbs from 1.372m bearing acres, for a yield of 1,974lbs/bearing acre.

The Demeter forecast draws on a wide range of Demeter sources, including the Demeter Almond Season Index. These sources include both weather-related and other variables, and endeavour to capture the complex interrelated forces acting on California's almond footprint over multiple seasons.

The lagged forecast is included in Demeter's biweekly headline index publications. The live forecast is available through the Demeter platform.
